I distinctly remember lying to my mother after throwing up that I still felt bad so I could go home. Even though it was amazing

I cannot relate. Puking just causes more puking for me, which causes more puking, until I am dry-heaving. No part of this is good, lol. Not even when it’s over, because I just feel horrible.

    3. Depends on the cause of it is from a hangover then yes it feels amazing after puking

But if it is like food poisoning then you’ll just keep puking and even going number 2 as well sometimes at the same time if it is a really bad case of food poisoning and that will continue to go on for days until your stomach has finally fully cleansed itself and healed itself from the food poisoning

Fortunately in my entire life I’ve only experienced food poisoning twice but my god is it a scary thing to go through

    4. One time I felt really sick and I spent like over an hour in the bathroom. I asked my family to bring me some saltine crackers to make me feel better. (They actually didn’t and I had to get them myself and also why I was in there for an hour) Like a minute after I ate the crackers I threw up and felt sooo much better afterward. It was like I wasn’t even sick.

    5. When it’s caused by too much drinking fucking yes! I even go finger in ly mouth deepthroat style to puke faster

I never get like this personally. i feel worse after a puke. the entire process is extremely unpleasant for me, afterwards my stomach usually still hurts, I have a weird feeling in my throat, my mouth tastes bad, im probably crying etc etc

Sometimes I reach the point of wow this really sucks I might as well hustle throw up and be done with it and then can feel better for a bit

    8. Me after a heavy night out. You lay in bed and the entire world spins so you just get it out of your system. Afterwards, pure bliss

The moment I feel the need to puke I am jamming my fingers down my throat to get that sweet sweet relief.

I will fight throwing up until the very end…suffering the whole time. Once I give up and go take care of business, I immediately feel better. Still never regret fighting it tho

Wish I could relate. It takes like 15 minutes for me to start feeling better again after vomiting.

    12. The last time I remember feeling that was when I was 6 years old. Doesn’t happen anymore

    13. No??
The aftertaste, the dirty mouth, stinky breath, throat feels violated, dehydration… I hate every part of it.
The feeling a while after puking is okay, after drinking some water, rinsing/washing your mouth, and starting to feel better in the stomach from the relief. Wouldn’t call it anything extraordinary. But the feeling IMMEDIATELY after? Ew.

I feel you, the storm has passed, usually after I get a migraine I know it’s winding down after I throw up

    15. Not for me. I have a recursive vomit problem. I keep vomiting until I end up dry heaving. I cried blood one time bc I puked so much. If I see puke, I’ll puke, and then I’ll puke because I puked, and then I’ll puke because I puked, and then I’ll puke because I puked, and then I’ll

    16. Apparently the pressure of puking can actually tear or rupture your esophagus and cause incredible pain or life threatening blood loss.

      Ask me how I know.

    17. Oh yeah? I recently lanced a tonsil stone/cyst which was so swollen it was changing the geometry of my ear/nose/throat to the point that I was losing my hearing due to crowding.

It’s been like three days and I’m still riding the wave of euphoria that the relief brought. Most disgusting thing my body has ever produced but by gum do I feel instantly better.

      I mean it makes sense:
      puking = oops, something’s wrong!
right after puking = congrats, you got rid of some (possibly?) hurtful stuff from your body 🥳

I remember when I was a kid, I was hanging out with some friends, after a while I started feeling sick and threw up, after throwing up I felt so well that I just went right back to playing with them, this process repeated itself about three more times before I was forced to stop playing

You’re forgetting that part where you have the feel of having small pieces of food on your throat for several hours wich is fucking disguisting.

    21. The brain sends the painkiller chemicals as a response to vomiting. If you’re in a position to be vomiting, you probably felt like total shit before that, so the post vomit endorphin hit makes you feel way better.

    22. I threw up last week for the first time in many years. Before and during puking I felt so much fatigue but when I finished I felt so relieved

    23. I sometimes puke when I have a lot of pressure in my head/neck causing a headache/pain and it immediately alleviates the problems and allows me to let normal things like ibuprofen and sleep work…
