Are there cards out there thanking people for being white too?

Me and my family have a tradition that we get cards that are the opposite of the occasion… for my moms birthday I got her a deepest sympathies card one year, I got my boyfriend a happy 9 th birthday card and wrote a 2 infront of it with pen (he was turning 29), and one year I got a Father’s Day card for my best friend (who is very much a woman and is not a father). These cards hold some of the best memories and bring a smile and laugh to everyone’s faces more than normal cards. Honestly some of my favourite things to do for people is getting them weird cards that don’t apply to them, or editing them myself with low effort pen

My father unknowingly bought me a kwanzaa themed card for Christmas one year when I was in my twenties. We’re all Irish.

This reminds me of the story of my mom getting her own mother a card that said “you’re like a mother to me…”

A similar thing happened to me in my early teens. I was tasked with running into the store to get our mom a Mother’s Day card and just picked out the one I thought looked the best, without reading. …I just saw it said happy mother’s day and it looked nice, so I grabbed it. We all signed our names (nobody read it), put it in the envelope and gave it to our mom later that day with her gifts. She started reading the card, giggled and she asked us if we had read the card… We were confused and said yes, so she offered to read the card out loud. The last line was something along the lines of “…..to our powerful, proud, black mother” (we’re not black)

Jeez, if your girlfriend was receiving a Mother’s Day card at 8, exactly how young was she when she had her son??

This is so funny! Mom woman 🤣 my niece made my sister a Mother’s Day card for her birthday one year. We all thought it was so cute and when she realized the mistake she bawled her eyes out lol. Kids are so precious.

Wait in the US you sell this card where the race is explicitly mentioned like this and you don’t find it racist? What if instead of black it would be white?

It’s really funny cause hell would have broke loose if it said white woman instead
