I remember a similar video as part of BBC’s Planet Earth, which was right around the time that HDTV was first becoming available. The documentary was shot in high definition, but there weren’t a ton of receivers around. So when we saw the clip on our old standard-definition cathode ray tube TV (480 px with relatively poor color), the bird was just one big ol’ black smudge moving around on the screen, like it was made of Vantablack or something. You couldn’t make out the feathers at all.
