    1. There is a great Jewish tradition of Chinese food on Christmas because Chinese restaurants were the only things open.

I also miss when the movie theaters were empty on Christmas.

Christmas Day Dim Sum has been my family’s tradition the last few years. Usually starts as early brunch, delicious food, everyone gets what they want, and no dishes. 10/10 would recommend.

I’m lucky that the Thai and Indian places by me in the city are also usually open on Christmas. Sometimes you just want some nice warming spice on a cold December afternoon and don’t celebrate the proper sky daddy when hungry sometimes, it’s annoying.

My sister and I were friends with a pair of Jewish siblings our ages and their Christmas tradition was to go to Chinese restaurants because they were virtually empty. Thus shorter wait times and the employees were appreciative of getting *some* business. They called Christmas ‘Jewish Family Chinese Food Day”.
