i was a contractor for the US gov for a cool 10 years and finally got to become a Fed after a very long process.
and then BOOM, was let go just like that because of stupid politics and downsizing the gov. even though i had an amazing 6-month review and won an award … walked out because Elon and dummy in the WH wanted ppl gone for gone sake.
now, at 45, i have to restart in an all new field and it’s really fucking sucks.
