A group of friends and I somehow got on the topic of the Great Wall and one of us asked how long it took to build. We looked it up and it took 2000 years. And my buddy goes how come none of those emperors were just like “That’s fine. It’s not like Genghis Khan is still alive impregnating our women anymore”. And my friend who’s Chinese just said “Generational trauma.”
