serious question. how would they enforce this? if i had dual citizenship with Canada for example, in the US i would just say oh I’m solely an American citizen, but as soon as i go anywhere else i would just whip out my Canadian passport and claim dual citizenship.

Oh don’t worry. They will have a * in the law and exclude any members of the Trump family. They will get sued, the Supreme Court will check and see if the President has an R next to their name and allow it. If the President has a D next to their name, they will deny it.

Interestingly, members of Federally Recognized Indian Tribes have a type of dual citizenship. Been waiting to see how they might strip Native Americans of their US citizenship and this could certainly be one way.

Fun fact: Americans living overseas are still required to pay US taxes, even if USD 0.00 was earned in the US. Many us citizens overseas become dual citizens to stabilize their status.
This would effectively stop that money coming in.
Technically they require people money to renounce their US citizenship, good luck with that
