I think I get the premise of your meme, but it’s a bit all over the place,

      Good attempt though.

    2. If the players don’t care that it’s made with AI, then why do publishers care that players know?

    3. Did you buy a game that was made in the past couple years?

You bought a game made with AI.

Anything not labeled as such is simply lying. There’s not a software company out there that doesn’t use AI somewhere in the code pipeline.

The biggest problem with telling people that a game used AI is that so many people mindlessly hate AI* that it doesn’t matter if the game is the greatest game of all time, it’ll be DOA the moment people see that tag.

^(*Not saying that anyone who hates AI is stupid for doing so. There’s plenty of valid reasons someone might not like AI. Most people just don’t have those reasons. They just hate AI because it’s cool to hate AI, and don’t want to even entertain the idea that it’s not so black-and-white.)

    5. “The players wont care” as players cringe everytime they hear Ai in incorporated in game

    6. When we say created with AI, are we talking like the programmers used AI to figure out some algorithms, or they vibe coded the whole code base, or they dropped a couple of images in that AI generated, or all their assets were generated as well? Seems like that is a lot of wiggle room in that whole AI was used which we assume they use it for programming nowadays everywhere because management says to.

It helps that Steam doesn’t care if you buy a specific game or not, they know you want a game and will get your money one way or another.

    8. It really boils the other companies piss I bet because if there a list of AI games from a reputable source then they’ll still not get bought, Love it!

    9. If the players don’t care about AI, then why care if the label is there?

      Because players do care.

    10. If you don’t want your game labelled as containing AI assets, then don’t use AI to create assets.

    11. What is this fucking meme format supposed to be. This doesn’t even slightly line up with the steamed hams joke, what is this.

    12. I think this might be the most incorrect meme format I’ve ever seen. It literally makes zero sense.

    13. I don’t care, but I think the label should remain. Just like I do not care about eating GMO foods but think the label should remain.

    14. Thanks steam for telling me something is made with ai slop so i dont play it so i can buy a game from real devs that actually put real work in the game and support them with my money

    15. If you don’t think using AI to develop a game is a bad thing, then there shouldn’t be any problem with having that its inclusion visible for your customers.

    16. To any and all game developers out there, I speak as a player. I care. I care quite a lot regarding whether my dollar is going to a creative’s vision or if it’s lining an executive’s wallet.

    17. Gabe is to Steam what Iwata was for Nintendo.

So enjoy it while you can, friends. Once he’s gone, you know what happens.

Ignorant CEOs “want to have” without Appreciating the Alchemists.
