Simone Griffeth 1974 – One of the most perfectly composed photos I’ve ever seen.

    1. It’s of a relatively obscure actress taken by an unknown photographer (as far as I know).

I thought it was kind of a cool photo, but then kept coming back and wondering why.

I think it’s because of the way she’s outlined by the house, with the present but detached crowds behind and the curve of the water feature bringing the attention back around. Really cool.

It’s got pathos, intrigue, composition, and other things I can’t articulate.

    2. Triangles.

      Many of them hidden.

That’s why the picture captions one’s attention.

Her face is also beautifully lit.
