My local Wendy’s started using a scale to make sure everything’s in the bag

    1. All my local Wendy’s do this (well, the two I’ve visited, anyway). Either it’s a corporate thing, or it’s one franchise and you’re in the same area.

The cashier at Panera did this the other day and I was really confused. I didn’t know it was starting to be commonplace among fast food

    3. Yeah but it’s still Wendy’s. Probably too many DoorDash shitheads eating people’s food.

    4. They’ve used this for my order once. It refused to okay the order, despite the order being correct. My guess was they weren’t supposed to put the drink on it, but kept doing so anyways. Unsure. They eventually gave up and handed it to me anyways.

I also see this as a way for them to cut corners on cost and control the variable of how much food you actually get a little closer

    6. I managed a little caesars about 12 years ago and we got a system overhaul so that the registers showed the change amount, along with the specific bills/coins needed(yikes). I can’t believe fast food employees still can’t read a fucking screen to make sure I get everything I ordered.

    7. I have ***literally just this minute*** come back from a return trip to Wendy’s after they forgot a large fries.

    8. Smart scale. They do this for pick up orders. I always wondered what the margin for error is on weight
