One of my favorite old family photos — taken in the Los Angeles area in 1928. I’ve always found it striking: their clothing captures the fashion of the time beautifully, and the hills behind them have that classic Southern California look. They almost have a movie-star appearance to them — something about the style and setting really stands out.
