Very common in the Amish country. Even the public libraries will have a place to tie up your horse/buggy.

That is fantastic. For people who are familiar, what are the rules around horses? Can you ask to pat them or are they more like service animals?

In a town about 30-40 mins from me, the McDs had/has a hitching post for the horses for the Mennonites.

When I worked a delivery job the Amish always waved to us when we drove past them. Always made a point to stop by their little bake sales and corn stalls.

My family doctor has what they call a “run in shed” which looks exactly like this ,on the edge of their parking lot. There’s a sign/plaque inside the lobby that says the local Amish community built and voluntarily maintain the shed so they can park their buggies in it when visiting the clinic.
