This is just, the dumbest bubble.
I’m not an economist, but this doea not look like a healthy economy
80% of startups using Chinese AI *entered the chat*
How many more of these ‘nvidia is bigger than xy’ charts? It’s big, yes, we all know it. Move on.
Until the Nvidia bubble collapses and then they fall spectacularly. I can’t wait for Nvidia to fall.
Edit: I’ve upset the Nvidia bros with this comment, downvote away.
Yet, without ASML, essentially there is no NVIDIA
When the crash comes, it will be unprecedentedly brutal.
How did games become this?
Can anybody explain how the bubble would pop? Because everyone is using ai, mostly for making ‘funny’ videos but ok. AI is something that stays around. I don’t understand.
Wow. What could possibly go wrong?
It will be beautiful catastrophe
Without ASML there’s no TSMC
Without TSMC there’s no Nvidia, AMD, Intel, Qualcomm, Apple
It’s not worth more. A high market cap doesn’t indicate actual value.
The whole US are a bubble that might burst in the next decades, because public and private debt explodes in the US. That can’t work another twenty years or so.
Interesting indeed, but would nVidia exist without TSMC, and thus without ASML?
Net asset value of Nvidia is No where near the combined nav of these companies.
I think maybe “is currently valued at” might be more accurate, not sure it’s actually “worth” that much
Imaginary worth in abstract terms. It’s not like they were going to use 5% of that imaginary money to solve global hunger overnight (which they could, but they won’t, because that wouldn’t create shareholder value).
This data is NOT beautiful. This data is dystopian in a very gloomy way.
The NVIDIA graphic is the wrong shape, it’s not a rectangle, it’s more like a bubble.
This is what happens when they are a monopoly they have one thing that no one else makes other than maybe AMD but they are catching up.
They made AI chips and no one else can compete for now.
I think „worth“ is such a bad word to describe the stock market… more like „promise“ or „expectation“
And now some power players are selling AI-stock. A readjustment seems due.
Remember how incredibly recently Apple became The first trillion dollar company? This isn’t a good thing for roughly 99% of people
It’s crazy how low ASML is compared to Nvidia when you know how much Nvidia depends on it.
Well our Companies arent bubbles. not like the us. who loves bubbles it seems like
Yea thats not bubbley at all…
Market capitalization being the sole proxy for a company worth is not really accurate
Whilst this is of course crazy.. I can’t really think of any other industry where one company has a real stranglehold on products which command multi billion dollar orders (with 11 even 12 figure future sims being seriously discussed) with companies climbing over each other to get to the front of your queue.
Just one of their contracts can dwarf an entire industry’s world wide value.
so basically Nvdia can do shit without ASML producing their product, but yes, this is accurate representation today’s economy
I’m not an economist but… isn’t market capitalisation used as a way to indicate the *perceived* value of a company? Is there a way to calculate the *actual* worth?
It’s not worth that much, it’s valued at that much. There is a big difference.
If/when AI bubble burst it will be soup kitchen on the streets bad or worse?
And almost twice the gdp of all african continent
Tesla is worth more than VW – this is not surprising, a stock is the real value of a company. Just like the Gucci bag is worth more than the Chinese one, even if they use the same “producer”
And the revenue from those 20 largest company is around $1.4 trillion in 2024 compared to around $130 billion for Nvidia. It is all about future expectations.
AI made it worth 99 procent more of its real value
Except it is not. Trying to realize its estimated cap just tanks the cap. Unless a takeover bidder does pay that for NVIDIA it is just price of a share x number of shares.
