The pan I ordered came with an entire screwdriver just to put on the handle

    1. This isn’t a terrible idea. I keep a dedicated torx driver in the utensil drawer to tighten loose pan handles.

How heavy is the pan? They might have thrown that into the box to help it feel sturdier at first glance. Because people perceive sturdy = good.

I’ve noticed an increasing number of things I buy come with full sized screwdrivers.

      Seems a bit wasteful.

    4. It’s probably cheaper for the importer to send it in a smaller box with a cheap screwdriver, so more fit in a container.

At least they didn’t expect you to already own tools – that’s what I call beginner-friendly cookware.

    6. Sensarte has great pans, but I dislike the neck around where the pan meets the handle. That spot gets just as hot as any other part of the pan and if you go to grab the handle a bit too far down, you can get burned touching that part accidentally.

Just be a bit careful and make sure to grab farther away. Great pans though. Make sure to only use silicon with it though or you do risk damaging the coating. Mine’s coating has mildly worn a bit after over a year of use (and a few mistakes of using metal on it without thinking), but its still very non-stick.

Yes, I did keep the screwdriver because its actually absurdly high quality.

    7. they probably calculated that the increased size of selling it with the handle attached was less economical than just throwing in a dirt cheap screwdriver. kind of wild

    8. It’s actually decent too! (For being free)

I bought the smaller version of this and was super surprised as well 😆

Enjoy the pan, we love it

If they has sent you half a screwdriver, it would’ve made this a post for r/mildlyinfuriating

    10. When you realize that a bulk purchase of screwdrivers from China comds out to about $.02/unit it sounds like a great value proposition to include a “free” one to your customers.

Im good on screwdrivers, cheap batteries, scissors, small tarps, and small bungee cords for LIFE. (Thank you Harbor Freight)

    11. I work in a hardware store. You would be surprised how many people don’t even own basic tools like a screwdriver or pliers, it’s kinda crazy.

Hey there OP – put locktite on the screw – I have this pan it will slowly come unscrewed time and time again if you don’t. Cheers!

    13. I have the exact same pan of a different colour off Amazon and it came with that screwdriver too.

You’ll have to tighten the screw on the handle every now and then but it’s held up 5 years now as my daily driver
