
While trekking through the Aurlandsfjellet mountains of western Norway, a hiker recently found an enormous reindeer trap that dates back 1,500 years. Amongst the wooden logs, archaeologists uncovered other items as well, including several sets of well-preserved reindeer antlers [1200×1386]

Is a reindeer trap something like those traps somewhere in the Arabian peninsula which were used to slowly corral wildlife so they could be safely slaughtered?
