She’s a sack of shit, but I’ll support her on this one topic. Go scorched earth on them all.

    2. When I don’t like either person in a fight, I don’t have to choose to support either one of them. I can still sit back and enjoy watching them waste time and effort beating one another.

    3. Yeah, this is a hard one.

On the one hand, she did many horrible things, not least of which harassing the people grieving a schoolshooting, encouraging antisemitism, letting her boyfriend mock Zelensky and so on and so on. All of it while smiling

On the other hand – telling her she is welcome nowhere now that she has had a change of heart will send a message to all other magas that leaving the cult will result in isolation; encouraging them to never do so. Which is obviously problematic…

    4. Not going to give her a hug or anything. But if she contributes in any way to DJT and/or MAGA facing actual consequences then I’ll give her a fist bump and say thanks.

As long as she’s making things difficult for Trump, I’m ok with her. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

    6. MTG can stay in MAGA. She’s not smart enough to enter even the barest of educated societies. We probably have at least that much left in America.

This is actually a perfect analogy. If the raccoons stopped knocking over trash cans and raiding my bird feeders and destroying bluebird nests, I wouldn’t mind if they sat on my deck in my chair pondering the day. Of course, I don’t want them around my dogs or crazy enough to domesticate one, but I could hang then.

    8. And I believe this is the beginning of the dam breaking for Trump. The oligarchs and Project 2025 architects will ride the Trump train for as long as they can, knowing they’ve got their ace in the hole with JD Couchlover. So even if you get rid of Trump, they’re still going to go ahead with their plan to turn American democracy into an authoritarian theocracy.

Just remember, people: Can a zebra change it’s stripes? Can a leopard change it’s spots? Can a scorpion stop being a scorpion?

    10. I think the best case scenario for her is this path she is on leads her to a more reasonable way of thinking. I’m not saying it’s likely but if she ends up more like Kinzinger or something then I could see her being a more bearable force in politics rather than the insane conspiracy pushing figure she has been.

    11. I think this post is greatly underestimating my desire to adopt a raccoon. I would forgive many many things.

I have a newfound appreciation for her on the basis that she seemingly is an authentic person in a field full of power hungry grifters.

That’s where the appreciation ends because she is still a terrible person in several other ways.

She’s just trying to keep her job. As she started to adjust her position she said she is voted in by her constituents, and works for them, not put into her position by T. She knows the score, people are turning, and she’s savvy enough to change her position. But only to keep her job, not because she cares about anybody. Lauren B is the same. Now she sees shes she has a chance to get rid of him so won’t change her vote to release the files. But she knew who he was from the beginning. Probably knowing more than us and still supported him.
There is a blue wave coming and they don’t want to be in the fallout. Ultimately, they are all just jockeying to keep their jobs, they don’t suddenly have integrity. We need to vote all current and former magas out of office.

We should not see her positively. But we should appreciate and use the civil war she is creating in the Republicans

    15. Look, you support someone in AA or rehab. Alright? Forgiven and never forgotten is a good mentality if behavior continues.

I saw someone say something to the effect of, “we’re not agreeing with her, they’re finally agreeing with us.”

I respect some of her recent comments, but I still hold her accountable for all the terrible things she said and done before. Still in the event she is trying to grow and develop as a person I want to give her credit when credit is due. That is as far as I will go

    18. If she wants to redeem herself, her first step needs to be her apologizing and acknowledging the MANY times she did exactly what she is now crying about. She has built a career on being divisive, crass, vicious, dishonest, you name it. Now she’s calling for unity and denouncing the name calling and threats against her. She only started caring when it affected her personally. If she can’t publicly acknowledge this, then it’s just all empty words and the second it suits her again, she’ll be back to her old ways.
