I hope this isn’t too niche…

    1. Niche memes are the best feels like finding a secret handshake with strangers on the internet.

    2. That’s the charm of niche memes they’re like secret passwords that only a handful of internet wanderers instantly get, which makes them feel even funnier.

      I loved Scrubs!
Did you know the og cast is making a new season?
Hopefully, it’ll be as good as the old one.
Scrubs is close to my heart because scenes like meme desribed. It’s mainly a comedy show sprinkled with heartfelt moments here and there.

Definitely ugly cried a few times during this show. (Haven’t seen the episode in over 10 years so I’m paraphrasing) There was one where a man was going to die the next day and he was scared to be alone. They stayed up late with him talking and sharing stories and laughs to keep his mind off of it. Eventually he becomes weak and exhausted and says something to the effect of “This has been great but I’m tired. I’ll see you in the morning” almost unaware of his condition. They let him rest but they have this look of pain in their eyes. I was really young. I remember holding it together in front of my family and then going into the bathroom to cry. I haven’t seen the episode since that moment. It’s too much for me. It’s incredible when a show can be so whacky and have pure comedy and also be able to affect you deeply and emotionally.

The pilot episode really showed that this show was going to be Carlin style comedy: Uncomfortable truths presented as funny.

      And it nailed it.

    6. I love that Sarah Chalke does voice work in adult animation now (Rick and Morty, Paradise PD) and can be straight up nasty. Drop dead gorgeous and funny AF.

And check out Cougar Town if you can, same production crew and some great cameos.

I am an ER doctor. I used to tell people that this show was the most realistic show about working in the hospital. Not because of the situations exactly, but because of the strong emotions it brings up. It is still a favorite of mine, though now The Pitt hits closer to the real thing.

    8. Scrubs was a gift. If you haven’t already, watch as much as you can. It’s funny, and sad, and deep, and challenging, and shallow, and annoying, and cute, and cliche, and comforting, and everything I could have asked for in a situational comedy.
