Let me guess, a former guest got bit by a spider and sued or wrote a bad review.

I saw similar signs in hotels near forests or generally wild life areas, stating you may open the windows but count with possible wild life encounters of all sorts. 🤣

Please do not open the window – does not work client opens the window anyway
Spiders can come in – no one else opened the window for the rest of the building life

That’s a great way to get me to keep my window closed

This is Hamburg Hafencity right? There are so many spiders on the outside of buildings for some reason so its a good hint

I swear it looks like a couple dead ones on the window sill right at the middle/bottom of the picture.

Must be Australia where everything can kill you.

Do they have that sign on the door too?

Yeah, so this actually happened to me in Europe. I was in Spain in May, and it was HOT – with no airflow turned on at all in the hotel. Not in the lobby, the rooms, nowhere. I opened the window while we went out to dinner our first night there. We got back in, showered, went to bed. During the night I was fast asleep and must have moved a little bit – I got hit by some huge spider. I never saw it, jumped out of bed straight away. I had to go to the doctor 3 times over the next 3 weeks for that spider bite. It was horribly painful.

Damn, we don’t even have these signs in Australia

My house in Germany has so many little cobweb spiders in it, I don’t know where they all come from. Maybe the window.

BUT HOW ARE HE SPIDERS OPENING THE WINDOW FROM THE OUTSIDE?!!

It’s such a nice sign. Props to the designer/printer

I should make one of these for when I have guests, except instead of spiders it’s crane flies. I imagine it’s very effective. They usually never believe me until they see the swarm for themselves though…

Each spider found in your room after checkout will incur a $20 pet fee, per day of stay.

I mean, its not Australia. How bad are these ‘spiders’? 😛

Spiders at the top of the Elbphil? It’s windy like hell, no spider would last much there. Also, no spider can stop a German from Stoßlüften

Why don’t they have windows screens to keep bugs out?

Dear Europe,
Get some fucking window screens.
Sincerely,
Canada

They might get in from other ways as well

How many spiders are in the area that this is a major concern?

I could tell it’s Hamburg just for the sign. It’s real, there are spiders everywhere, and hotels seem to be a favorite attraction for them
