A lock is not a protection mechanism. It’s to keep honest people honest.
If anyone really wants what’s on the other side of that door, it will not impose an obstacle.
Other destructive mechanisms would be a lot faster, as most locks don’t have drill protection or snap protection. This is just a way to open your door without damaging it. In most cases, if the door is not deadbolted, you can even open it with a normal credit card or an x-ray film.

I remember i locked my keys in my house so I called a locksmith, we were talking for about 5 seconds and I look away for a few seconds look back and he had the door open. I was astounded to say the least.

I bought a $50 kit from the Lock Picking Lawyer, spent an hour practising and can open every lock in my house.
Imagine if some of these idiot street kids put their brains together and tried to learn something.

Just go to local hardware store and get a key with the same cut from the same lock.
A while back most of the new york cabs had the same key as NYPD cars.
A cabbie was getting arrested and the cops keys fell in a drain. The Cabbie offered his key and the officer was like wth.
Locks provide delay, and the illusion of safety. If someone really wants to get into your house, they will get in.

This isn’t as easy as it looks, to do AS fast, but it’s not as hard as it SHOULD be. This guy has trained and can feel the nuance to do it this fast. That said, given enough time even an amateur will get it to work unfortunately.
