    1. Regardless of ants, olive oil is not the best for seasoning cast iron. It can work, but it’s a low smoke point oil so generally it won’t work as easily or as well compared to others oil choices with higher smoke points like canola or sunflower oil.

      You shouldn’t be seasoning pans with olive oil, it doesn’t have a high enough heat tolerance and it goes rancid

    3. Your fault for using such delicious olive oil. This one’s on you, OP.

      Does that pan have specialized uses, btw? The shape has me curious.
