There is a group of people who are against the US because of the stuff that they have done
And then there is a group of people who are *so* against the US that they consider any nation opposed to the US to be actually really good and the only reason for anything bad about them is western propaganda.

Laugh all you want, this is one of the major reasons China is seen as a more viable partner than the US, it is less confrontational and less interventionist.
Is there some errors in the meme? Yes. But the US has bombed how many countries now? It even bombed neutral countries in the Vietnam war and has used chemical and nuclear materials in its wars.

Yes, China, the country that has hundreds of military bases all around the world, the country that has dropped bombs in every single continent, the country that uses its military to demand economic and access concessions, the country that devised coups in dozens of countries, the country that threatens invading other countries just because, the country which economy relies a lot in fomenting conflicts everywhere in order to sell weapons, the country that has been caught wiretapping world leaders, the country that uses Cambridge analytica to intervene in foreign elections, the country that has destabilized great parts of Africa, Asia and middle east, and the country that has committed numerous war crimes without repercussions.
That China?

I mean, while China has definitely taken part in wars abroad, mostly initiated by them, it’s true that the amount pales in comparison to the US involvement internationally. It’s just funny to see comments going “oh so what about the uyghurs?”, like sure, that is true, but is the US of all countries in a position to criticise that…?

China has been taking Spratly Islands away from Vietnam and the Philippines for a decade now. Technically it’s not a war because neither country has a strong enough Navy to stop this. But it still illustrates that even without a technical war, China is expanding its empire by taking from others.

China – killed 40 million of its own citizens in “The Great Leap Forward”
China – Taiping Rebellion (Chinese Civil War) 1850 to 1864. 30 million Chinese people killed by other Chinese people.
China – Mao Zedung cultural revolution, 2 million Chinese people killed
United States – total killed in all wars – 1.3 million with the Civil War being the bloodiest at 620 thousand.

Largely because their war with Vietnam ended prematurely because China was losing so badly. In 1979 China found out that Mao had left them with a totally ineffectual military that had to be rebuilt. China was in no condition to get into a war. China had spent the hundred years before 1945 being the world’s victim and struggled to defend itself.

As an American-Veteran I have been raised to be anti china. Not overtly, but we definitely are raised to look down and mistrust China. While winnie the pooh is close to an autocrat, the wide swath for distrust and dislike for China is misplaced. It would be like if other countries treated us based on Trump. China has expansionist ideas, but to pretend China is as destructive to independent nations as the USA is a wild take.

China doesn’t need to intervene beyond its claimed “territories” yet. They are rich in resources and can currently get enough natural gas and oil through trade, leases, and arms deals. The minute resources hamper their growth, or someone/something threatens their interests you’ll see them act like any other global power. They have their hands in exploiting developing countries just like we do and they manipulate conflicts just like we do.
