To those saying nobody alive would be this unresponsive / asleep through this, you are wrong. Alcohol, as well as some other things, can absolutely do this.
I hope they are good enough friends that they also realize this was dumb and dangerous and this fella, possibly along with some of his “friends” have reached a point where it would be best for everyone if they work their way to a better place.
