Veterans Day

Veterans Day is a way to honor those who served in the military over the years. I had a few relatives that served with honor over the last century plus in multiple wars.

Homer Ellis Sr., my great grandfather, served in the Army and fought in WWI.

Homer Ellis Jr., my great uncle, served in the Navy and fought in WWII.

James Ellis, another great uncle, served in the Army and died in the Korean War.

These were all brave men and I’m honored to be related to them. I only met Homer Jr., but I feel a kinship to them all.
