Nope. The epstein vote would eventually come. We just lost all leverage for healthcare subsidies for 2026.

Terrible take. Even if they vote tomorrow and release “the files” it will be like a redacted address book or some bullshit. There is absolutely zero chance the DoJ will release anything that risks harming dear leader.

And we better get every fucking page.

Still…it sure would be nice if my artist/construction friends could afford healthcare. This next year is going to suck even worse than this one did.

There is no silver lining here. We’ve been eating a shit sandwich for over a month and we just agreed to one more, along with another one in the future.

    5. Johnson won’t certify the Democrat until after the December 2 special election in Tennessee. Van Epps is expected to win and negate the vote to release the Epstein files.

They have it all planned out.

Not even close. The Democrats now own the outcome of the shutdown and the shutdown itself. They shifted to vote in FAVOR of the Republican plan — the results are now theirs. This is not worth a potential vote on the Epstein files. This is disastrous.

This sub just MSNBC brain rot hopium. Come to terms with the fact that the Dem leadership has to go, the Biden/Clinton wing of the party is hurting the country, and people on the left wing of the party have votes that the Dems need and aren’t entitled to.

    8. I hope it doesn’t pass but only because I bet a lot of money on it staying shutdown for 60 days

and by a lot of money i mean 20 bucks

    9. Nothing’s going to happen if the files get released. Why do people think there’s ever going to be any accountability?

    10. They condemned millions of Americans to drastically higher healthcare costs. For an indeterminate amount of time. – In exchange for an empty promise that they’ll negotiate it in December.

I could carve democratic senators with firmer backbone out of a banana.

It was a purely idiotic move that will absolutely cost them voters.

The ball was in the republicans’ court and practically all of America blames them. This is surrender, not negotiation.

I am curious as to why anyone think Mike Johnson would even honor the vote. He will just not do it.
