    1. Literally swept them in last weeks elections and today they cave??

Democrats have no backbone. Women everywhere, pray, the Handmaiden tales are only around the corner.

    2. More than ashamed to be a Granite Stater today. These two relics need to be put on the shelf permanently.

I love when the senators from my state, NH, show up on these types of posts. People want to argue that NH is a blue state…fuck that. It really isn’t when you have Vichy Democrats as senators.

    4. Still has to get through the House, and they know that. At this point it feels more symbolic and solely about signaling to their constituents that they’re doing something. Kaine, for instance, is doing this because of all the federal workers in Virginia. Jefferies is a better leader than Schumer and has the House democrats on lock, while Johnson is avoiding the Epstein vote. Yall can still be angry, but this isn’t the end.

Fetterman doesnt surprise me the least bit. He is basically a member of the GOP at this point.

    6. The 2 from Nevada seem to always be on these lists. I was already planning to not vote for them again, but it’s infuriating.

    7. All for a “promise” to vote in ACA later. Morons still don’t know the Republicans? Pathetic.

    8. What was the point then of the shutdown in the first place if the inevitable result was going to be capitulation?

    9. Gonna laugh if Johnson still doesn’t call the House back to vote on Senate bill.
Then we have a list of loser Democrat Senators that we need to work to primary and replace and shutdown continues.

    10. I’m hearing that Schumer didn’t vote in favor but isn’t it on him that this was even brought to the floor? Regardless, can NY not find anyone to primary him? He’s such a weak leader and doing us no favors.

Sell outs. What was the point of it all? The (democrat) people wanted them to stand for something and to stand firm. Believe in the fight. What did they do? Blink. Cave……Weak. So fucking disappointing. We wanted you to fight dip-shits!

    12. Does this mean they can return congress to session and a firm (appoint ?) that recently elected congresswoman, and then have a vote about something inconsequential like some files.

That was the whole point of the shutdown – to kill affordable healthcare.

      – Premiums will rise 2x to 3x now
      – Only the sick and old will pay for it
      – Next year premiums will be so high the sick can’t afford it

The most eternal quote from The Newsroom is a question posed in the opening scene:

“If Democrats are so fucking smart, then how come they lose so god-damned always?”
