Wow, it’s crazy how much the breed has changed! The old one looks more athletic and functional, while the modern one has that super distinct head shape-kinda shows how breeding priorities shifted over time.

Avoid Brachycephalic Dog breeds, they quite literally can’t breathe enough because they’ve been bred to have barely any nasal airway.

If I’m not mistaken that dog from 1915 is not a Bull Terrier, but an extinct breed of terrier known as the White Terrier. The dog shown below is an actual Bull Terrier from 1914:
