Found two of these bas relief panels at a thrift store in Minneapolis. they are stamped/embossed with American Terracotta Co on the backside. they measure about 36” x 14” and are quite heavy. Any thoughts about where these may have been salvaged from?

Could they have come from Fort Snelling National Cemetery? That’s a shame they were in a thrift store. Seems like they should be in some museum if they are authentic anyway.

That’s an interesting angle regarding Fort Snelling. I was researching where the various terracotta companies have sent decorative panel orders to throughout the state, such as Northfield, Duluth and Twin Cities. I haven’t landed on anything specific to the Abraham Lincoln content.
