I agree that video games making people violent is absurd but what I think it *does* do is (unpopular opinion incoming) desensitize people to violence/death.

The gaming community is very heterogeneous. We are exposed to a greater variety of people from all backgrounds which encourages inclusion and tolerance.
Our brains are wired (for good reason) give more weight to negative experiences than positive ones so it seems like there’s more bad here. This is not the case.
I’ve played multiple games with people from all over the world, even met some irl. They have all been more kind and genuine than anyone in any church or government office I’ve ever been to.
