Can’t wait for AI art to start showing genetic disorders

Good. Fuck AI. We don’t want AI photos and videos.

Basically the plot of Multiplicity

This was a known problem AI models would encounter. Once AI starts learning off AI it’s like photocopying a photocopy the quality just degrades over time

This reminds of how after the trinity test there were some trace elements introduced to the atmosphere and you can tell when certain things like steel and certain types of paint were made because they are ever so slightly more radioactive than stuff from before 1945.

Tfw the methods to detect AI come from AI companies themselves because they need to identify AI to not have their AI take from it.

Yep, that’s why I expect AI to hit a serious wall. It relies on training data, and it’s now making so much trash that it starts to train on itself, causing exponential error growth.

Not just ART but in General and with chat, will just be AI regurgitating other AI and not have genuine sources.

Oh no, who could have foreseen that greedy, thoughtless Dr. Frankensteins would let this happen, whaaaat???

This wouldn’t just be happening with art but also information in general.
Read a book kids.

The problem is easily resolved with any selective pressure. The AI can just train from popular, high upvoted, AI art with many likes.
Unless AI starts liking their own posts. Then it’s over.

This happened way sooner than I predicted.

Also, people who won’t want to be providing free training materials for AI are learning how to protect their data to keep AI away from it or create bad results. This will only increase with time.

This was both predictable and predicted.

They keep saying this over and over again but I’m not seeing any loss of quality in ai images. Even the piss filter thing only exists in a specific model.

And so it will go with ALL AI work. AI is 100% derivative. It does not innovate.
So it’s really only good for endeavors where innovation is not wanted.
But it is also not consistent, so it’s not good for things that require consistency.
The truth is that there are very few jibs where innovation is bad (accounting) but consistency is unnecessay (accounting)
It’s a tool, not a worker.

Good. I don’t know anyone who likes AI images at all. It is generally regarded as “AI slop”. It puts human artists about of work.

Good, maybe this will cause it to collapse in on itself and we’ll be done with it.

With programming as well.

TIL I have been incorrectly spelling this as “imbreeding” my whole life for some reason. Not that I use the word often enough for spell check to have corrected me, but I could have sworn it was spelled with an M even though I use the term inbred correctly.
My brain is weird.
It doesn’t even LOOK right when I have it spelled out on the page.

Kurzgesagt talked about it in a recent video : AI basically takes as sources articles made by AI, it’s becoming a real problem

Good, let it turn into the Hapsburgs and we can go back to business as usual.

AI scrapes human images? The AI images get progressively better.
AI starts scraping other AI images? The AI images start getting worse.
