He once had a hot dog that wasn’t kosher and put just ketchup on it!

He went into a Bodega and told a friend not to get the chopped cheese because it was “meh” at that location!

Five years ago he was seen with a Chicago-style deep dish pizza!

One time on the LIRR he went past Flushing and straight into Bethpage!

Look I wanna like the guy but I have limits.

What’s his stance on mustard and tan suits?

    3. These people are telling on themselves that they don’t associate with any other culture or race. In my culture, probably much like Zohran’s, your parents cousins are your aunts and uncles. It’s a respect thing. My cousins kids call me uncle. I call my mom and dad’s cousins aunty and uncle. It’s just how we do things.

    4. My kids have like four older 2nd cousins who are all called Uncle or Aunt so and so by them. This is a really common thing. Hell, I have an “Uncle” who isn’t even actually related to me, he is just an old close family friend.

    5. So…Us Hawaiians who call elders “auntie” or “uncle” are now lumped in with Zohran as bad?

Oh, yeah, I forgot – we’re not whitebread white folks. We’re natives that the government has taken land from.

    6. The MAGA argument of him eating with his hands is always so funny because like…how do you eat a hamburger? Or a pizza? Or a hotdog?

    7. So this man confirms that this woman was afraid to go on the subway after 9/11. Isn’t that the main point Mamdani was trying to make? Who is this tweet even for?

You can really learn all you need to know about the current political parties by looking at their scandals, the republicans need to invent scandals for democrats because of how scandalous the current administration is

    9. Trump cutting medicare and SNAP, which will likely kill thousands is ok but Mamandi calling his cousin his aunt is bad? alright

    10. I used to call people we knew and where my parents age aunt and uncle, you don’t call them alone by their first name as a way of showing respect. Calling people air or ma’am isn’t really a thing.

Seems like a weird thing to be outraged by when you come from the party that wants every woman half your age to call you daddy.

This is super common in asian cultures but honestly who the hell calls an elder cousin “cousin”. I’m sure if white extended families actually interacted with each other more this would be more common among them, too, but we’re all atomized and unfriendly and sad (despite all of the right-wing “PRO-FAMILY” propaganda that would make you think otherwise).

My aunts and uncles are also my kids aunts and uncles!! Yes my siblings are the real uncles but I don’t follow what it should be…..

I love the complaints against this man…. You can tell he is a good man based off how ridiculous they are

    14. >First he takes his wife to dinner

Oh no! A man went to dinner with his wife? Scandalous!

Well I can never run for public office because I have an uncle who is neither a brother to my mom or my dad. Thanks a lot uncle Gary!

    16. I call my Dad’s fraternity brothers and their wives uncle and aunt, despite us not being biologically related.

I call my grandpa’s sister and her husband my aunt and uncle, despite them being my grand uncle/aunt

I call their kids my aunts and uncles, despite them technically being my cousins.

This is normal, and how most Americans (and I imagine worldwide) view their families significant friends and family of older age than oneself. It’s easier that way.

    17. We had neighbors that moved in when I was 5, and out when I was in high school. My mom still works for them. I’m 45. I still call them Aunt Kim and Uncle Mike. We’re not related at all.

    18. For someone they assure me can only fail as mayor the GOP and the democrats seem very terrified of him getting into office. Which doesn’t make sense if he’ll fuck things up and prove socialist ideas unworkable

    19. The fact that someone wouldn’t know what a brown person means when they say “auntie” is wild.

      In many cultures:

Are they close friends of your family?

      Are they older than you?

If yes to both, they are Auntie and Uncle.

    21. Wake me up when he, his wife, and his parents all start minting meme coins and NFT to sell to the voters.

    22. Valasta_Bloodrunner on

Wait, you’re only allowed to call explicitly your parents direct siblings aunt and uncle now?

Guess I’ma have to call my aunt Jena, aunt Renae, and Uncle Brain and break the new to them. Too bad being my mom and dad’s mutual best friends since they were kids, attending all my school functions, being present at almost every major holiday, and generally being treated as family for my entire life doesn’t count anymore.

And here I was thinking the titles were still just terms of endearment, like they have been for like 400 years.

    23. I’m laughing myself to death, what kind of shit are they doing now? Have any of them ever looked at what the president throws off every day? Anyone? They are all so ridiculous, you get the tears of pity in your eyes 👁️

    24. It’s a cultural thing. Every older female relative in a wide berth of Black, Muslim, or Hindu families is an Auntie regardless of actual relation to you.
