Because it was never about not having the money to do it. Rather, it’s because the people in charge firmly believe that anyone they don’t know personally, who is getting government assistance, is an underserving loser or a criminal who should be thrown out like one throws out their trash.

“We have concepts of a plan.”
It has been 15 years since Obamacare was passed, and these fucknuts have been screaming about “repeal and replace” ever since. And yet they have not offered a single viable alternative solution.

These people spend more money in a day than I’ll spend in a decade.
I just want to have a warm and cozy house dude, like with a fireplace and shit. I don’t want my kids to be the kids who have to stay at school while the other kids go on field trips.

They don’t have to pretend, or try to hide anything anymore, it’s been proven over and over they can get away with absolutely anything they want.

Don’t forget ICE’s $28.7 billion budget. Gotta pay those Gravy Seals to kidnap children somehow.

Once again, another example of just how effective the propaganda against universal healthcare has been.
Every one of these posts about how we can “afford _____ but not healthcare” actually helps those opposed to universal healthcare.
Why?
*Because universal healthcare is* **cheaper** *than what we have now!*
Implying that we can “afford” it implies that it would cost *more*, and we just need to stop spending that money elsewhere. Things like this help perpetuate that myth, and in doing so, keep people thinking “I don’t want to pay more for someone else’s healthcare!”
They also grossly underestimate the cost of healthcare. Adding up all the things here, which, yes, are absurd wastes of money and blatant corruption, only gets to about 1% of total health spending per year.

These were always simple policy decisions, note they want to make it clear who’s in charge.

I don’t want to ever hear a damn thing about how Republicans are “fiscally conservative” ever again. That’s the biggest lie ever told in this country for the past few decades now.

His while life was nothing but fraud and abuse, then he became president and everyone expected something different. He should have been in jail long before he ever ran for office. As a Canadian all I can say is your getting what happens when the greedy 1% are let loose and not held accountable. Not just trump and not just republicans. It is a systematic problem run rampant through American politics and Canadian too. It takes 1 side to do it and the other to let it happen. We need to wake up. It’s not red vs blue. It’s the 1% against the 99%. Eat the rich

Remember the goal of capitalism is to get all the money into an ever shrinking number of hands, Trump is the first president who isn’t pretending that it isn’t. Monopoly tried to teach us this as kids, but we didn’t learn.

All that totaled up would get in the 2% range of premium reduction at best considering that’s 42 billion out it 1.5 trillion a year spent on premiums.
