Just for fun and to expand on this, any geologists, scientists, or astronomers who can compare the size of known man made Nuclear craters versus craters that appear on the moon or were discovered by man pre 1945 on the earth of comparable size?

It’s crazy how many times we’ve nuked ourselves when you think about it. Between Nevada and Semipalatinsk Polygon in Kazakhstan….it’s disgusting.

I don’t think those actually from nuclear fission or fusion explosions themselves, but tests, perhaps, for the explosion to start the fission reaction? Could be wrong and don’t wanna look it up

Are those from above ground or underground tests?

Kinda blew my mind when I learned we’ve detonated over 2000 nukes since 1945. For a long time I thought it was only a handful.
