October 29, 2025At Chogha Zanbil in Khuzestan (Iran), bricks that make up the entire structure of the complex bear inscriptions, containing dedications by King Untash-Napirisha to Elamite gods. Dating to 1250 BC, the complex is the world’s best preserved example of a stepped pyramidal monument. [2060×720]
