this means the patriot act gets retroactively canned as its elongation got autopened while Obama (I believe) was outside the country

Stop being weak and ineffectual man child and do it. See what happens when we take the White House back. You’re all going to jail.

Unfortunately it’s becoming increasingly apparent that they have no intention of ever giving up power.

It’s weird how Mike Johnson can “work”
To do things like this while senate is not in session but he’ll do fuck all to help his actual constituents or defend the oath of office he took.

Go ahead. Open the House and propose that bill. We’re waiting…

oh that’s right, protecting child rapists is the highest priority for republicans.

    6. I would slightly change his remarks to make them more accurate and make America a better place.

I’d simply say: all republicans should be voided. 🙂

The government is shutdown and America is floundering but this is the issue the Republicunts are going with

Not a fan of the Biden pardons, but isn’t the press release by the white house at the time written authorization?

    9. Biden and Obama really got in these fragile people’s heads didn’t they?

Like, a black man welding that much power really broke them

This guy can fuck all the way off. Seriously, even for a Christian he’s a horrible hypocrite.

Remember the leaked signal chat when JD was like, “I don’t think the president understands this” and the others were sort of guessing what trump wants, and they were like should we ask him? And they agreed no, better not to. He was golfing at the time.

      That’s leadership.

    12. Where’s the video footage of 47 hand signing all the J6 pardons? Wasn’t there’s about 1,500 of those?

    13. How about all those bills/orders knowingly signed by a president who would later claim they had no idea what they signed?

    14. Gold_Past_6346 on

Could actually check with Biden to see if they were legit pardons, seeing as he’s still alive and apparently more competent than Trump.

    15. Can we please get rid of this man? I don’t want to hear anything else from him ever again. He needs to be out of the public eye and sitting at home where he can’t hurt anyone else. And the idiotic lies are making me sick. You would have to be brainwashed to believe them. Oh yeah…

    16. Fun Fact:

The President doesn’t need to sign pardons. He can in fact, simply declare them.

“The Constitution doesn’t even require that the pardon be written, so the idea that the signature is by autopen rather than by handwritten signature seems not relevant to the constitutionality because [Article II ](https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/artII-S2-C1-3-1/ALDE_00013316/) just says that the President has the power to pardon,” says Bernadette Meyler, a Stanford Law School professor and constitutional law expert.

But I still torment the MAGAs by saying that djt couldn’t possibly have sat there and signed over a thousand pardons.

Either EO has total authority or everything Trump has done can be overturned after the midterm election with Democrats taking control.

    18. Yeah, they need to be careful here, but as always, they don’t think this will affect them at all. When you know Trump did not sign jack unless it is at a press conference

    19. In other words, we want to persecute (not prosecute) some of Biden’s pardons. We are laying the groundwork to do that.

    20. Funny how a sitting Rep in the House and chair major leader comme nting on anything other than the house (which he wont open)

Hye stupid pedo loser how about you do your job and focus on SAID job

    21. Outrageous_Act2564 on

Shouldn’t it be illegal for a convicted felon to pardon other convicted felon? What am I missing here? Common sense? Democracy? Decency? Laws?

    22. It’s interesting that in the Real world, we have to listen to so much dishonesty and pretend that it’s serious discussion.

    23. CommonConundrum51 on

It’s not as if Biden is dead, he can attest to approving these pardons. GOP is just a bunch of slippery conniving liars.

    24. This quote, to me, describes the Trumpstein Shutdown and the likes of Pam Blondi:

“If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village to abuse one.” — Mitchell Garabedian (“Spotlight” film, 2015)
