It might make more sense if he was talking about aircraft carriers? They use this weird launch system that actually is called a catapult and (used to be? I don’t know if it still is) steam powered to accelerate fighter jets to a sufficient speed on the very short runway.

    2. In the early 2000’s the punk rock band NOFX put out an album called “the war on errorism”. With songs like “[the idiots are taking over](https://youtu.be/3kqLVeP7iHA?si=OwLRub_9aQZqAAjg)”, the album was written during the first bush junior administration and seemed to fit. Listening back, this album seems even MORE relevant now than it did back then. Unfortunatly…

This is like my 80 y/o drunk neighbor with dementia. He hears something he doesn’t understand then goes on long rambling rants like he knows what he is talking about.

    4. “Cars need new alternators sometimes! You know what doesn’t need new alternators? The horse! We’re using horse and buggy again! Executive Order!”

    5. He’s 1000% talking about the Electromagnetic launch system on the new aircraft carriers. I dont see why he cares. Im in the Navy and I speak from experience that though it was a difficult system but it is extremely effective at launching jets quicker.

Even China is copying our tech to use it on their carriers

    6. I keep hoping cholesterol will finally step up. But after 10 yrs of this horsesh!t on repeat, I’m afraid we’re on our own.

    7. The Ford Class Carriers aren’t designed to use steam for the catapult

There is no way to change that now. There is just no infrastructure in the ship for steam cats.

And to insist on going back is a sure fire way to needlessly and fruitlessly spend hundreds of millions more

    8. For anyone who doesn’t know what he’s talking about, he’s talking about the catapults aircraft carriers use to launch jets. Currently they use high pressure steam to launch planes and while it works there’s likely many drawbacks to it. I would assume using magnets or electricity to launch jet planes is more simple, easier to maintain, and maybe launches planes at a faster speed hence why the military spent a lot of money in research and design. Efficient design doesn’t give a shit about an executive order.

Is he actually stating he’s going to issue an executive order for the navy to replace all the catapults with 19th century technology?

    10. We can’t bust heads like we used to. But we have our ways. One trick is to tell stories that don’t go anywhere. Like the time I caught the ferry to Shelbyville? I needed a new heel for m’shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ’em. “Gimme five bees for a quarter,” you’d say. Now where were we? Oh, yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have any white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones…

Tangerine Palpatine, always pulling numbers out of his ass. Cadet Bonespurs knows as much about naval engineering as I do about molecular biology.

Is he talking about the aircraft launch systems on aircraft carriers? Is there a problem with the new systems or is this just another “magnets are woke” moment?

😅 context is aircraft carriers use a catapult to fling planes off them apparently spending 900million dollars to make electromagnetic ones was a waste because he’s going to spend however much more money to tear them out and replace them with old steam power ones 😅 which not only waste money but would keep the ship in port for however long

    14. Usually pretty good at understanding what dementia Donnie is trying to say but this one has me beat.

    15. Seriously… I will pay real, honest legal US currency to any single MAGA supporter that can explain to me what the ever-living *FUCK* this man is talking about. $900 Million…. on catapults? Steam-powered military siege engines within the last 50 years? You mean since 1975? Like, the End of the Vietnam War, 50 years ago?!?

He was addressing US Troops abroad. MAGA, not even fuckin joking I will DM and Venmo the first MAGA supporter who can comment here with an actual, rational explanation of what on fuckin Earth Trump is talking about, and more importantly, WHY the Fuck he is talking about it.

    16. “I’m gonna do an executive order” is what he says just before he fills his adult diaper.

    17. I cannot wait for him to sign an EO mandating steam powered catapults, just so I can watch his sycophants squirm trying to rationalize it.
