Karla Faye Tucker, 38, arrives at the Texas death house in Huntsville for her execution. She hacked a couple to death with a pickaxe, striking them over 20 times. Tucker drew global attention in part since she was only the second woman executed in the United States since the 1970s, 1998 [800 x 540].

I am not exactly sure how one got access to these photos (they must’ve been there or known someone who was there), but they definitely appear to be the real deal.

Both executions were controversial, Karla Tucker due to her jailhouse conversion and Betty Beets due to claims that she was a battered woman. In my opinion, Tucker’s conversion was genuine. Beets was full of shit. Officials were unwilling to give her the benefit of the doubt given her extensive history of violence against men. Beets had a prior conviction for shooting an ex-husband in 1970s. Granted, that man admitted he was abusive. However, Beets also tried to run over her third husband. The police later found the remains of the fourth husband in her yard after she was arrested for murdering her fifth husband.

    2. Two things get universal bottomless sympathy on this earth: an abused animal/child, and an attractive/charming muderer.

The ladies swoon for Bundy even now.
