This is from years ago (2018). Cop was suspended with pay then they blamed the cyclist for “pulling too far foward past the stop sign,” as well as the narrow intersection, then casually admitted that “distraction” was a factor. Cyclist wanted an apology, coverage for his medical bills and a new bike. He’s still waiting for all 3. Meanwhile, the police chief said he would review the departments policies on texting and driving.
