To be clear, though, no one *actually* donated. It’s wild to me that people still believe a compulsive liar.
Anyone with 130 million dollars to spare would have known it was an utter waste of money, which meant it was entirely performative. That performance means nothing to Donald Trump, so it would be a performance for the American public. A person performing for the American public *wouldn’t insist on anonymity*.
At best, the only connection to reality it has is that Donald Trump is looking to launder some money he received from his other blatantly corrupt activities. Maybe it was some excess “ballroom” money, given that he can’t inflate the cost much further without explaining why on earth a ballroom costs more to build than Trump Tower.

Again, the issue is not Trump; everyone knows what he is. It’s those in this country who continue to follow him and support him.
Consider that times are relatively good at the moment: low unemployment, low gas prices, and solid stock market. So what happens when things aren’t good?
We are in this mess because about 35% of the country is going through a midlife crisis and 14% are stealing their money and blaming the other 51%.

These oligarchs are going to end up spending 100x more in bribes and favors to Trump than they would have paying just a fucking minuscule amount more in taxes to help the rest of society that’s set up to depend on them doing well.
Regardless, this is obviously something that shouldn’t be allowed. It’s pocket change to billionaires and gives them this exclusive way to have influence over the negotiations of our government. I still assume this “payment” could just be made up bullshit and we will see real stories of troops saying paychecks never came.

Wouldn’t a 130 million pay every active military person like what, less then a 100 bucks each? That’s pointless and would just piss me off of I were military.

Guys. The coup is over. Your house speaker has kept the house out of session for close on a month now to avoid swearing in a member of the opposing party. The end has come, my friends. The weirdest thing is that no one is talking about this.

Timothy Snyder knows what he is talking about.
Please, every American that hasn’t, read his book [here](https://ia801505.us.archive.org/11/items/on-tyranny-twenty-lessons-from-the-twentieth-century-by-timothy-snyder-z-lib.org/On%20Tyranny%20Twenty%20Lessons%20from%20the%20Twentieth%20Century%20by%20Timothy%20Snyder%20%28z-lib.org%29.pdf) for free, it’s less than 70 pages. Share with other Americans right or left.
Please do something.
