Between 2008 and 2014, scientists rappelled down cliffs, in southern Spain, to reach a dozen bearded vulture nests and begin analyzing what was inside them. They discovered a 750-year-old shoe, along with more than 200 other human artifacts [3072×2277]

How could a stone ever be only 750 years old?
I hope they gave the birds new nests?
Hilarious…. Thank you. My mind read “stone”
Very cool, any more info on the other artefacts?
I hate when I get small rocks in my shoe.
Did they give back the shoe to the owner?
They look incredibly like Japanese [waraji](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waraji)
TIL: vultures are horrible cobblers.
Fascinating to think those vultures could have nested there for 750 years or more. It’s just like human settlements; if it’s a good place for one they can be there forever.
