Maybe it's the simplicity, or the blue pattern; I don't know.

But wow, such backhanded insults from the hubby. That would've started a major row between my parents.

Corning ware is very nostalgic for me – most of my childhood dinners were cooked or served in Corning ware and Pyrex.

    2. Was coffee really hard to make back then? Every coffee commercial of that era is a husband complaining about his wife’s coffee. Granted all they had to work with was Maxwell House and Folgers

Also just $8.50? I was looking up the price of a Revere Drip-O-Lator when new. It was $4.50 or about $45 in 2025.

The expression “how come” instead of “why” really bothers me, especially in writing

    4. If my husband said this to me I’d just switch our household over to tea out of spite lol. But seriously I make coffee daily in an aluminum stovetop percolator and would love this!!

“Why does this delicious, fresh-brewed coffee smell just a little of bitter almonds?”
