On October 3, 1995 OJ Simpsom was acquitted of the murders of both Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, despite overwhelming evidence. At the time, this verdict was widely celebrated by the African-American community for various reasons, someone saw it as a payback for the Rodney King Incident others simply based on his being a member of the black community. A juror eventually admitted, in an interview, that the decision was in retaliation for the beating of Rodney King.

It wasn’t that OJ was acquitted, it was that the LAPD got called out for planting evidence.

    2. Yall still celebrate Colombus day give me a break. There’s statues of slavers and murderers in parks around the country. But black people are the ones who celebrate criminals

Pro tip, if you’re going to emphasize how conclusive a glove is you should make sure it actually fits before telling the accused to put it on in court.

Also if the investigators have been accused of planting evidence find out if the investigators is going to take the 5th when asked about it. Oh, and see if he muttered the n word under his breath on tape. If he did maybe do ‘t have him lie under oath about it.

    4. I hate how because of racism in America black “counter racism” is considered acceptable

    5. The 90s and 2000’s were a bit of a dark age for civil rights and social justice, you’d see media like Fresh Prince of Bel-Air being incredibly self-critical and tone deaf in its early seasons while the loudest voices in discussions of African American discourse were people like Bill Cosby complaining about how disheveled poor black teenagers look all the time.

I dunno what made it that way, but it’s kind of embarrassing.

OJ Simpson: great secondary actor, not so great person. Both aren’t mutually exclusive. Learn to separate the artist from his art!

    8. Almost all disadvantaged groups do this. It’s why I don’t feel as much sympathy for people in general because once that group is in power they would do the same exact thing as anyone else.
