I wonder if that one can fit into tighter spaces. Both Sam’s and Walmart near me have been using some very large ones for years now. They look like they were meant to be driven cause they even have a seat but they’re fully automated.

At my old store they had the giant ones, that you could also drive. They were constantly getting hung up on unexpected displays that hadn’t been preprogrammed in.

Morrisons in the UK use these too. It’s a shame as previously they would employ someone with learning difficulties or mental disabilities to do these jobs, now they have a robot to do it instead 🙁

The ones they use here at Walmart and at Sam’s Club can be run in autonomous or manually driven modes. I got trapped by one in Sam’s Club the other day. It couldn’t decide what to do and basically blocked me in. I left my stuff in the cart, got another cart and swapped to it. 30 minutes later it was still there doing a dance with my first cart.
