If you grew up in the 60s, you knew him from Hang On Sloopy, by the McCoys. If you grew up in the 70s, you knew him from Rock n’ Roll Hoochie Koo. But if you grew up in the 80s, you knew him from the greatest song ever written…Hulk Hogan’s theme song, Real American.

    2. My first album was Edgar Winters ‘They Only come out at Night’. Fantastic album. Rick played lead guitar and produced the album also.

    3. He and his band were the opener for Aerosmith’s first big tour at Madison square garden in the 70s.

Oh my god, Rick derringer’s band was sooo much better than Aerosmith… solely because they were sober. (At least in comparison to Aerosmith, who could barely stand up)
