She (10yo daughter) decided not to say that she lost her tooth and the tooth fairy didn’t come. I said that “normally if you lose a tooth, we leave a note for the tooth fairy in the bathroom. If you don’t tell us, we don’t leave the note, and the tooth fairy doesn’t know to visit.”

So she left this today, and it is wonderfully hilarious.

PS – I do not know why it’s in the third person.

It’s in the third person because you told her that you normally leave the note, so she’s trying to make it sound like you wrote it

    2. When I was 5, I lost a tooth, and left a ransom note for the tooth fairy. It read: “FAIRY PLEASE! Gimme 5$ or ELSE.”

My dad paid the $5, which was a princely sum for a tooth in 1983. He still has the note, over 40 years later.
