In this day of 4K, can you get away with using model sets still?
I’ve seen some shows (like Star Trek) that got the 4K treatment with some before/after screens and it’s pretty jarring just how much you can tell it’s a model in the 4K whereas in the 720p (this is from the 90’s….hell, might even be 480p lol) it kind of hides it.
I always like practical effects, personally, and could probably get over it but I’m not sure if others could.
