One could call that vandalism. If they do that on your property, you might be able to get that vandalism removed/fixed with a free pressure washing job

Before y’all get creative, check your local code of ordinance before doing this wherever it is you reside to make sure it isn’t illegal/unlawful there.

For instance, where I live the Municipal Code Chapter defines graffiti as any “unauthorized inscription, word, figure, mark, or design” making even reverse graffiti a no go; technically. Whether or not anybody actually cared would be another story entirely I’m sure, haha.

It’s clever though. That’s for sure.

    3. Yeah, I’d call the city and have them check permits if this is a public space. And I’d have my lawyer call them if it was my space.

We have enough ads in our brains, and no one deserves free advertising for their capitalist venture.

    4. I would call the company, tell them they ruined the patina of your path with vandalism, using your property as an advertisement board, and that you’re suing as they are using your property for advertising.

They have one hour to remove before they start receiving bills for it. And you will be recovering this income via the court system.

If that was done on my property, you bet your ass they’d be cleaning the rest of it for free to match. Had one of those “miracle cleaning products” douchers come to my house. Demonstrated its cleaning power on half of the aluminum threshold of my front door to show me the difference. Told him to clean the rest or I’d call the cops and report him for vandalism.

Call them and tell them to go remove their advertising from your sidewalk that you didn’t authorize them to do.

My dumbass here thinking “that’s quite a complex pattern to put on a power washer nozzle” instead of figuring they were using a stencil.

    8. This is the power equivalent of using your finger to write “*Wash me*” on the back window of a car..

    9. I think the people saying this would make them angry are missing the point and are very sad. If they didn’t make the sidewalk dirty this should be fine. If anything I’d accuse you of deflecting uncomfortable feelings about how dirty your neighborhood is by getting mad at a power washing company. The fact that you’re hypothetically upset is even sadder. What should upset you is hypothetically living in filth.

    10. I get that it’s a local business, but it’s been legit decades since I’ve seen (new) signage or advertising with a business phone number without the area code in front of it

    11. I’d make them come back and do the rest without paying them. Tell them that they aren’t paying me for advertising space. That I wanted my sidewalk “patina” there and since they’ve ruined it they need to come clear it all so I could start over, evenly.

    12. Like graffiti’ing advertisements on private buildings
Which they’ll probably start doing soon.

    13. It is my hope that they do this near the front of a house they are already contracted to clean so as they do the work people can grab their number.

If this is just done in a vacuum to drum up work, its problematic and I would try a small court case to get them to come and clean it up and get a free clean as leaving just a clean patch would make the path look odd so the whole thing would need doing

    14. That concrete petina takes decades to form.  I pressure washed ours and now it looks like shit still 5 years later.

I think I would go after them for damages.  This would piss me off.

    15. I’d spray paint various colors of dicks on their main office building and trucks then offer to clean it off for money.
