wasnt it because it was the kindom of Sicily that also controlled the main land, sicily was taken from them but name remained, then they regained sicily so they called themselves kingdom of two sicillies?

The combined country once they unify:
“Well, we were both called the Kingdom of Sicily, so I guess it makes sense to say we’re the kingdom of two of Sicilies.”
