For too long, the lie that half the country is MAGA has created a false sense of the power of this imaginary movement. They are a fringe of the Republican party and Independents with a sprinkling of disaffected Democrats but they are less than 1,000,000 actual self-identified MAGA persons. It is a fading memory.

Most people are pretty politically indifferent. They can be dyed red or blue just by the last conversation they had with someone that didn’t make them feel evil or stupid. Social media amplifies the perception that everyone seems to have strong, well-conceived, debate-tested beliefs but that’s not reality.
What attracted a lot of people to MAGA was just that Trump rallies looked like a fun thing to do. They were community gatherings, there was energy, they were an excuse to put on an outfit and leave the house; something vanishingly rare in a lot of places. MAGA politics was a second thought, but espousing MAGA was a requisite part of attending the events so people just put on that costume.
So my advice to the Left on No Kings Day is have fun. Look like your having fun. Respect the community your in and the businesses you’re around. Yes, focus on the issues at hand with the Trump admin, but be welcoming, be compassionate, be forgiving; even if MAGA would never show you that courtesy.

One huge point for them is that democrats are the minority and they always steal elections, because every accusation is a confession.
