I have the strange feeling that this is a coping mechanism caused by being the only cat in that houshold.

    2. Ben, dude, we’ve been over this, you have to eat otherwise….. Look. Let me show you *scarf* Like this. See? Ben? Ben pay attention. Like this Ben! You are hopeless *lick* still love you though.

    3. I had a cat who loved nothing more than q-tips (ear cleaners). I would scatter them around the house, and by the next day they were all in her food bowl, mangled and clearly played with. I miss that cat.

    4. Our cat also drags his toys over to his food, sometimes dropping them right in the bowl.

Is this what he’s doing? Trying to feed his toy?

Aww, this reminds me of when my dog was a puppy! She would bring her favorite toy over to her bowl, eat half of it, and then place her little foxy in the bowl and nudge the rest of the food over top so that foxy could “eat” the other half!

I had to pretend to let foxy eat so that she would, eventually, finish her food because even if I picked foxy up before feeding, Bonnie would still only eat half, waiting for her buddy to be returned 😅
