The first Thanksgiving was essentially a celebration between the English settlers and the Wampanoag tribe over the good harvest and the alliance they had formed. (largely because Wampanoag wanted their guns and the English wanted their resources)

    2. That’s just factually incorrect. There was a first thanksgiving.

Whatever propaganda you were taught around it is another thing.

There was absolutely a first Thanksgiving. It was when Abraham Lincoln started it. Stories trying to connect it to the pilgrims are just to sound nice.

Those guys definitely had harvest festivals around that time of year, but they didn’t call it Thanksgiving.
